We here at We the People of the United States are dedicated to helping you shape the best letter you can write to get the response you desire. Whether it is a petition for action, a demand for compensation, or a note of appreciation, we have the words to help. Here at We the People, we will not only share with you models of effective letters, but we can custom write a letter to address your specific need, if you don't have the time to compose a letter or just can't find the right language. We want to promote the civil right to make your voice heard, to demand justice, to offer comfort or to applaud a significant achievement.  The letters can be for personal, social or business purposes.

And we won't let the media off the hook either.  It is clear that much of the news media has its own agenda and that good journalism needs to, once again, flourish in an unbiased manner. We have to find a way to make it clear to them that we do not mind their leaning one way, but they need to inform us they have a personal agenda.  What we need for them to know is that we won't tolerate their way any longer.  We need to remind them that we are their clients and that we will hold them and their other clients (the advertisers) accountable.

• Q. Is WTP a political site?
• A. No, we are not a political site. But, we hold a mirror up to the corporations, to the politicians, to those public individuals who are morally bound to us as Americans to guard our rights or provide us services that preserve our precious and free way of life. We also want to help our fellow Americans exercise their right to demand a hearing and satisfaction. Let’s eliminate apathy together.

• Q. Why is WTP doing this?
• A. We want to prove to you that through the power of We the People, we can, have and will demand the truth and real facts from our leaders. We want to help people speak their minds to corporations and politicians (whether good or bad), whether at the state or federal level. When we get enough state volunteers, we will provide information for representatives at the county and municipal level, as well.

• Q. What can I expect to find on this site?
• A. Just about everything you would need to write a letter. You can find letters that WTP have already written to corporations and politicians, a map to help you locate your representatives (local, state and federal), if you see a letter that expresses your opinions, you will be able to use that letter (for a nominal fee).

• Q. Will WTP post my letter on the site if I send it to them?
• A. Yes. We will keep your personal information confidential, using only initials to identify the writer. However, if you give us permission to use your name on the letter and site, we will do so.

• Q. Can I use one of the letters that I see on your site?
• A. As stated above, yes, for a nominal fee.

• Q. Can you write me a letter if I don’t find one I can use?
• A. Yes, just follow the directions on the website, supply us with the specific information and you will receive a draft without delay from us, hopefully in a day or so.

• Q. Are there any topics you will not address in a letter
• A. We will tackle any topic, of all political and religious persuasions. However, we will not tolerate profanity, personal prejudices, threats or conspiracy theorists. We will have the last say on what gets posted and what letters are recognized as “the letter of the day”! We the People of the United States is about everyone who makes up this country -- not some of us, but all of us. We definitely enjoy our own strong opinions, but that will not interfere with our mission to help you express what is important to you. The beauty of living freely in a democracy is that we will never agree on everything, but we can agree to disagree and we can stand up for everyone’s right to disagree. wethepeopleoftheunitedstates.org is about free speech and freedom of religion. Everyone will be welcome to post his and her thoughts and beliefs.
